Shifting through old cd's and cassettes I found songs that I had completely forgotten about, most of them being dance music from the late 90's early 00's. I feel like dance music from 1999 to 2001 was really dark, beautiful and just really cool. Before mainstream dance music was about using a sample and having sexy girls run around in bikini's in the video, it was rather brilliant and moving like Roger Sanchez Another Chance the video of which really moved me in a way I didnt understand when i was younger. I guess it also brings back loads of really good childhood memories of not having any cares in the world apart from playing out with your mates and getting home in time to watch nickelodeon. Below are a few of my highlights from the period.
